Privacy notice.
Effective 24 October 2026
This notice explains how Seymur Omarov, an individual sole trader trading as Animiyu ("we", "us"), handles personal data when you use the Animiyu app, your account at animiyu.com/account and our website. We are the controller of this data. For any privacy question or request, contact omarov.seymur@outlook.com.
What we collect and why
- Account data: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash). Used to create and secure your account and to sign you in to the website and app. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
- Subscription and billing data: received from Paddle, our Merchant of Record: your Paddle customer and subscription IDs, the email used at checkout, your plan, billing periods and payment status. We never receive your card details. Used to activate and manage your plan. Legal basis: contract; legal obligations for financial records.
- Usage records: for each AI request, the time, model, request type and cost charged against your credit. We do not store the content of your messages, images or screen and camera captures on our servers. Used to measure your credit, prevent abuse and support you. Legal basis: contract; our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and fair.
- AI and voice content: messages, images and screen or camera captures you choose to send are passed to our AI model provider to generate a response, and text for speech is converted to audio on our server. This content is processed to answer you and is not kept on our servers. Legal basis: contract.
- Technical data: IP address, browser or app details and request times, used for security, rate limiting and troubleshooting. Legal basis: legitimate interests in protecting the service.
- Support messages: what you send when you contact us. Legal basis: legitimate interests, or contract where it concerns your plan.
Data the desktop app keeps on your computer, such as local history and settings, stays on your device unless you choose to send it.
Who receives it
- Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited and its group), which handles checkout, payments, tax and invoices as Merchant of Record under its own privacy notice.
- Our AI model provider, currently OpenRouter and the model providers it routes requests to, which process the content you send to produce responses under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Our hosting provider (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), which runs our servers.
- Professional advisers, and authorities or courts where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising. Some of these providers process data in other countries; where data protection law requires it, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
- Account data and usage records: while your account exists. After you ask us to close your account, we delete them within 30 days, apart from what we must keep by law.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically up to 7 years).
- Server security logs and backups: up to 90 days.
- Support messages: up to 2 years after the conversation ends.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. You can also complain to your data protection authority. Email omarov.seymur@outlook.com; we reply within one month.
Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access restricted to the people who run the service and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Cookies
Your account pages use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. Paddle may set cookies needed to complete checkout. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on these pages.
Children
Animiyu is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this notice. If a change is significant, we will tell you before it takes effect.
